The Florida Department of Health is informing residents of two confirmed horse cases of locally-acquired Eastern equine encephalitis. DOH-Holmes and Holmes County Mosquito Control are coordinating surveillance and prevention efforts. DOH reminds the community to avoid being bitten by mosquitoes by taking these basic precautions.
