Welcome May! Welcome Mental Health! ????

The weather is getting warmer, and the days are looking up. Stay tuned every Monday to learn more about Mental Health and resources for our area. ????

Being prepared for baby is definitely a way to relieve stress. CPR class last Tuesday was so much fun. Let us know if anyone would be interested in ANOTHER CPR class in June or July? ???? We might have to talk to our Baby Shower sponsor: Simply Healthcare!

All the love,
CHSC Team ????

Truer words have never been spoken.

Our Executive Director, Theresa Harrison, and Assistant Director, Janai Groomes, have taught me in my short time here that sometimes you have to take time to breathe and relax. It's the best way to refocus and continue without getting overwhelmed. This translates even more into our clients lives.

Being a mom can be the best time, but it can be overwhelming. That's why we offer one-on-one home visits with our staff to assure and help you with all the obstacles.

Call our Connect Coordinator, Angela, if your pregnant or have a child under three and would like to sign up for services: (850)-482-1236.

We are all about dad's being included in the family unit! So much so we have start A SEPARATE PROGRAM FOR DAD'S! ????

Is the all-caps too much? Absolutely not.

One of the best ways to work on you and your partner's mental health is to pick activities where you have to work together. Try yoga! It is a blast to work together to create something and feel better.

Enough interest in this post and maybe we can get our Fatherhood Coach and Assistant Director to try it out?????

Now, it's time to wind down. Try this meditating video for some calm time. We know we love it ????

Happy Memorial Day! Today is a day that we take to remember those who have fought bravely for our country. They sacrificed their lives so that we could live freely. ????????

We know sometimes life is tough, but taking care of yourself is one of the best ways to insure that you and your family live a good life. Sometimes, we need more than physical activity and deep breathing. That's ok. That's why we recommend seeking professional help when needed. Check out some of our local counselors to find the best fit.

We might seem a little biased, but Hope Springs has always had our back! ????

All the love,

CHSC Team

We don't forget about dad!

Are you ready to be a dad? Are you already a dad?

We want to be a part of your journey! This month our goal is to give insight on WHAT mental health is. A lot of times we see that no one educates on what mental health is, but we expect our father's to just understand how their emotions work.

Welcome to fatherhood!

Reading is a great way to take some time for selfcare. (AND reading with baby is a great way to bond before bedtime!)

“Reading can even relax your body by lowering your heart rate and easing the tension in your muscles. A 2009 study at the University of Sussex found that reading can reduce stress by up to 68%.”

Want to find somewhere local? Checkout "A New Chapter: Books and More" located in Marianna, FL! I think you'll find some of the coolest cats around to help you pick your next read! (And don't forget: THEY HAVE A GUYS NIGHT!) ????

Don't worry, we won't make you search! (They are tagged in this photo!)

Anyone else know any great resources in the five-county area?

CHSC Team ????

It gets old keeping it in. I know sometimes it feels, as a father, normal to be the one who doesn't talk. While it's is perfectly ok to have boundaries, we at TEAM Dads invite you to step a little outside of your comfort zone.

Journaling is great way to start keeping up with your mental health too. It gives you chance to openly express feeling without judgement or bias. (I might be biased ,because I journal every day, but it helps me.)

Wanna give it a try? Reach out to our Fatherhood Coach, Kenneth Groomes, at k.groomes@chipolahealthystart.org to see if we have any more journals available. (Yes, we are giving them out for FREE!)

All the love,

CHSC Team ????
